The Blue Mountain Watershed Trust Presents

See the Salmon Run

A celebration of Silver Creek and the return of the Chinook
Salmon to their spawning grounds

Saturday September 21 2024 . 10am-2pm

Come join us! Last time 300+ adults and 150+ children attended and everyone loved it! Wear your boots. This year we have more fun than ever and plenty of on-site parking.

Watch spawning salmon on a self-guided nature hike

The centrepiece of the event is a 20-minute self-guided nature hike through the woods along Silver Creek. Adults and kids can stop to watch salmon climb the creek and learn more about fish spawning and riparian habitat at 4 locations where conservation experts from the local conservation authorities, Georgian Bay Forever and other organizations will be on hand to add to your knowledge of fish migration and to stamp kids’ fish ‘passports’.

Gourmet food, TONS of activities for kids

At See the Salmon Run you’ll find delicious food, local brews by the Collingwood Brewery and FREE food for kids.

Elephant Thoughts and the Nottawasaga Valley Conservation Authority will be there with a huge inflatable salmon, interactive games and crafts for children.

Some call it fun, some call it ‘edutainment’, but all call it a real good time!
